CGSV's committee and members are active in promoting grassroots appreciation, performance, composition and the teaching of classical guitar music throughout Victoria.

We need your financial support through membership to fund our concerts, educational events, gatherings, venue bookings, orchestra rehearsals and other activities.

   CGSV regularly receives requests to “Find A Classical Guitarist”. If you are a performer, this could be you! When we receive a request, we try to match performers with event requirements based on expectations, budget, repertoire, location and other factors.

3. Guitar Gatherings
   Become part of a social network of players. Meet other guitar enthusiasts, exchange ideas and playing tips, and overcome performance anxiety through playing to an empathetic audience. Or just listen and enjoy the music! We also provide a platform for those preparing for exams, competitions and recitals, and we regularly have surprise visits by professional guitarists and teachers.

4. Guitar Orchestra
   Participation is exclusive to CGSV members. Playing in an orchestra is fun and highly educational. Take your playing to the next level. Make friends and learn nuances of rhythm and tone production. Experience the adrenalin of performance - several times each year. Guitar orchestra concerts also provide a forum for individuals and small ensembles to perform publicly.
